Not being at home with family around the holidays is a little depressing every once in a while but then I start to think about a house full of family and realize being on the other side of the country is not so bad. I am not fighting over the creamed corn, the last piece of cake, and the last of the ice.
This year our friends Ginger and Chef, Jeremiah, hosted Thanksgiving at their new home. We had an amazing spread and table scape. Ginger claimed that she doesn't use her China enough and it was a perfect opportunity to dust it off. Honestly, I have never used mine for a dinner party. Chad and I will have an occasional night with it on the bar stools in the kitchen. That's about as partied up as we get around our house.
