No joke. It rained blue ball jars yesterday. Rained straight into my arms... I wasn't hurt.
I happened across a junk sale in the parking lot of a joint and decided that I had nothing better to do than stop in and see what was going on. I scavanged through the small booths and found a booth with an old globe that I recognized... They told it was $10 but was "totally worth $40." To heck they say... I saw that man checking out at Goodwill two weeks ago with it for $5...
You know what I didn't see him buying the other week... THE MASSIVE BOX OF BLUE JARS THEY WERE HIDING UNDER THE TABLE BY THE GLOBE! Hello!!!!!!!!!! Give me a price and let me run home and wash them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't want to them to know how bad I wanted the box so I said real casually... "How much is the box of jars?" She tells me $35. I look at the box. I put my foot on the box because the man behind me sees my screaming internally and knows how bad I want it... He inches closer... Offers $20... I then put my foot in the box so he can't see how many jars are actually in there... He talks the man up while I call Chad. I offer $30, give them a check, and run.
Yes I realize that there are alot more lids than there are jars. I find jars without lids more than I find them with lids. This enabled me to put tops on 4 other jars I already owned... now I'm stocked up and ready!
My Pyrex finds have been mega slim lately so I have collected jars instead. I might need to slow down with these and move on to something else but this was a really fun find! Check out a couple of the ball jar ideas that I grabbed off of Pinterest. I have a board that you can see more just click

I knew this post was about blue mason jars... but I thought it said it rained blue balls- hahaha!!! I love all those jars. Cant wait to see what you do with them.
