Fast forward two days later I see a for sale sign in his yard propped up against them.... totals.
Yesterday I pulled in and realized that they weren't lockers but they were old chicken and rabbit cages. I still had a soft spot in my heart for them. I needed them. Like I need a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake...
I had $50 left in my allowance so I tried getting them for $40 thinking that I could have $10 to buy something at G.W. this weekend. I ended up spending $60. But after I got the approval from Chad and all was good.
I told the dude that sold them to me we would have to load them in my car because I was feeling weak from working at Habitat all day. They fit one at a time. I made two trips. Luckily it was less than a mile home so it wasn't that big of a deal.
My first thought was that I would leave them in the kitchen for grocery storage or for misc. plates and things but I got to thinking about it and maybe they would be better in the basement for craft supplies, blankets, dvds?
First things first... these babies had to be cleaned. Scrubbed. Bleached.
I hosed and soaped those things down last night before we went to bed and put them in the garage to dry. Give me the weekend to pull it all together. It is going to be fantabulous.
